Call to Order

The York Region Planning Advisory Committee meeting was called to order at 4:05 p.m. with Acting Mayor DiPaola as Chair.

MCR Update / York Region Proposed 2051 Forecast and Land Needs Assessment Update

The Committee received the presentation by Lauren Sauve, Senior Planner regarding a Municipal Comprehensive Review (MCR) Update and the Region's Proposed 2051 Forecast and Land Needs Assessment Update.

In response to a request of the Committee, Paul Freeman, Chief Planner, confirmed that staff are planning to bring a report to Regional Council in response to consultation input on the March 2021 Draft Forecast which will include an assessment of different Regional intensification targets (e.g. 55%, 60%) for consideration by Regional Council to inform finalization of population and employment forecasts as part of the MCR.
