Discussion included the high cost of maintenance and specialized pots and pans versus the low level of risk for cooktop fires in Housing York Inc. seniors buildings.

Mayor Lovatt presented the idea of GRIPBlock technology as a consideration by staff for affordable and/or temporary housing.  The technology consists of affordable wooden bricks which are light and durable so they can be delivered and assembled quickly.
