K.2International Women's Day Regional Chair Emmerson announced that March 8, 2020 was International Women's Day and acknowledged all of the women that help make York Region a great place to live, work and play.K.3Order of Ontario Regional Chair Emmerson advised that the provincial government announced 21 new appointees to the Order of Ontario, which recognizes individuals whose exceptional contributions have left a lasting legacy in the province, in Canada and beyond. Of the 21 new appointees, two are residents of York Region.
